YORK COUNTY — York County officials closed the parking terrace on Water Street at Riverwalk Landing Wednesday after a crack was discovered in one of the structural supports.
As of Thursday, York County staff had completed temporary repairs that allowed much of the lower level to reopen. The top deck of the parking terrace remains closed until further repairs can be made. Officials anticipate use of the parking terrace will be restricted for at least 90 days.
Updates will be provided as more information becomes available. The cause of the crack in the support beam has not been determined.
Officials remind visitors public parking is available throughout Yorktown, and the free trolley has stops adjacent to attractions and parking lots.
