WILLIAMSBURG-JAMES CITY COUNTY — Ready, Set, Go!  Get ready to register children five (5) years old on or before September 30, 2022, for kindergarten at Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools (WJCC). Online pre-registration for kindergarten opens Monday, April 25.

Get set with required documents such as official photo IDs for all parents/guardians and proof of immunization, residence, and more.

  • Photo ID for each parent/guardian (examples: driver’s license, DMV-issued ID card, or passport)
  • Certified copy or affidavit of birth certificate
  • Current Immunization Record
  • Physical Examination Record
  • Two (2) documents showing proof of residence (example: a lease and utility bill)
  • Custody documentation, if applicable

Parents and guardians can begin the online pre-registration process April 25, followed by bringing all hardcopy required documents to the child’s zoned school to complete registration. Registering early means families receive school timely updates needed for smooth transitions.
