JCCPD Asks for Public Assistance in Grand Larceny Investigation

WILLIAMSBURG — The James City County Police Department (JCCPD) is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in a grand larceny.

The incident took place at Michaels craft store, located at 5225 Settler’s Market Boulevard.

On Dec. 17, 2021, three individuals entered Michaels and were caught by store employees who found the individuals attempting to remove security locks from four Cricut Maker 3 machine and a Cricut Explorer 3 machine. The individuals were then prompted to leave the store.

Three days later, two out of the three original individuals returned to the store where they stole three of the Cricut Maker 3 craft cutting machines. Each of the machines is said to be valued at $399.99.

According to a release from JCCPD, “The subjects are believed to have left the area in a dark blue Buick Enclave (or similar) that may have had a [North Carolina] license plate.”

Callers or users of the online tip service P3tips, may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if the information provided leads to an arrest.
