Sheriff’s Office Seeking Owner of Dogs, One of Which Was Injured

YORK COUNTY — The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office (YPSO) is seeking the owner(s) of two dogs who are loose in the county, one of which is reported to have suffered injuries.

On Sunday, March 27, YPSO reported on its Facebook page that the two dogs were witnessed running around the ravine behind Jack Rabbit Storage, located at 1629 Merrimac Trail in Williamsburg.

One of the dogs, described as a female with white fur and brown patches, was taken to a veterinarian with injuries. The other dog, described as a male with black fur and dark brown on its legs and stomach, is still loose. YPSO did not elaborate on the injuries sustained by the female dog.

Both dogs did not have collars.

YPSO is asking residents who may have information regarding the dogs’ owner(s) to call its non-emergency phone number at (757) 890-3621.
