HAMPTON ROADS — Hampton Roads is about to look a lot cleaner.
The Hampton Roads Great American Cleanup is a two-day effort to improve community appearance by removing litter from roadsides, neighborhoods, parks, beaches and more.
Keep America Beautiful’s annual Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest community improvement program, taking place in around 20,000 communities nationwide.
According to its website, Hampton Roads Great American Cleanup volunteers have cleared over 47 tons of litter since 2019.
Cleanup events will take place Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26.
