In July 2021, Poquoson City Council purchased 6.649 acres of land situated at 930 Yorktown Rd. The land is publicly known as “Two Tree Park” and was purchased as part of the City’s comprehensive plan to enhance its recreational offerings in the Central and Western Districts.

The Poquoson Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is a group appointed by the Poquoson City Council and its purpose is to recommend recreational facility development in the City.

The Advisory Board’s survey is live and it will stay open for input through April 1, 2022.

“The information collected in the survey will be utilized by the Advisory Board to make future recommendations to City Council on the future of the area,” Assitant Director for Community Recreation Gretchen Gochenour said.

Residents can access the survey by scanning the QR code in this story and on the signage for the site. The survey can also be accessed online on the City of Poquoson Office of Community Recreation website.
