James City County Fire Department Battle Wind Driven Structure Fire on Jolly Pond

JAMES CITY COUNTY — Around 1 p.m. today, March 12, James City County (JCC) Firefighters were called to the 2200 block of Jolly Pond Road regarding a fully developed house fire that was being made worse due to heavy winds.

According to JCC Battalion Chief Kerry Henderson, multiple crews are on the scene working to keep the fire contained.

There have been no reported injuries and the house’s one resident was standing outside the structure when first responders arrived on scene.

As of 2:30 p.m., crews were still battling the blaze.
