YORKTOWN — A fire that occurred in Yorktown causes damage to a home.
According to Chief Stephen P. Kopczynski of York County Fire & Life Safety (YCFLS), the call came in to the department around 3:30 p.m. today (Weds., March 9) regarding a house fire in the Edgehill neighborhood of Yorktown.
The home, which is located near the intersection of York Warwick Drive and Harris Grove Lane, appeared to have damage to the second story. As of 5:30 p.m., crews from YCFLS and York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office (YPSO) remain on the scene, though Chief Kopczynski reports that the fire was mostly under control at that time.
While crews at the scene could not report as to the whereabouts of the residents of the home, Chief Kopczynski relayed to WYDaily that there were no injuries.
