WILLIAMSBURG — Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center has named Amber Price as its new president.
Price is set to start on March 21, 2022. She will be replacing David Materson who spent eight years as President of the Williamsburg location and has since started a new leadership role for Sentara Obici Hospital and Sentara BelleHarbour outpatient campus, both located in Suffolk, Va., last November.
Price is joining Sentara after serving as the vice president of Hospital Corporation of America’s (HCA) TriStar Division. In that role, she helped oversee the construction of two hospitals and the creation of a maternal/neonatal helicopter flight program.
Amongst her other accomplishments, Price is a Certified Nurse-Midwife and holds a master’s degree in nursing and post-master’s certificate in nursing from the University of Cincinnati. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Old Dominion University.
