YORK COUNTY — The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office (YPSO) is searching for a suspect in an attempted robbery.
On Tuesday, Feb. 8, just after 3 a.m., YPSO received a call regarding an attempted robbery that occurred at a business located at the 2600 block of George Washington Memorial Highway.
YPSO stated that when deputies arrived on scene, “they discovered that an individual described as a Black male wearing a black hoodie pulled over his head and with a bandana around his face, demanded money from the clerk.”
According to a statement issued by YPSO, the clerk refused to comply and, after several demands, the suspect fled the business on foot in an unknown direction.
