WILLIAMSBURG — A local animal farm is offering a special Valentine’s weekend event.
Ryan and Mallory Phillips of Life with Pigs, a Williamsburg-based nonprofit animal sanctuary that takes in animals in need and gives them a second chance, will offer a 40-minute love-themed tour of the sanctuary.
“We have cows, chickens, turkeys, sheep, pigs, geese, dogs, a rabbit, and a parrot that everyone will be able to meet,” Mallory Phillips said. “We hope to make it ‘love-themed’ and share all of the different relationships the animals have with us and each other. There are lots of funny stories and a lot of love too.”
Following the tour, there will be animal-themed activities and games for guests to enjoy.
The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 12 from noon to 3 p.m.
Each attendee must be registered individually. Tickets are $10 per person for adults and children, and can be purchased online.
Those who cannot join in person can schedule a 30-minute private, virtual tour on Monday, Feb. 14. Tickets cost $50 for a tour, with as many people invited to the tour as the purchaser wishes.
Tickets for the virtual tour can be purchased here.
