James City County Sets Date to Reopen Convenience Center

TOANO — After staffing shortages forced it to temporarily close late last year, the Toano Convenience Center, 185 Industrial Blvd., will reopen from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays starting Feb. 4.

The Toano center, which is operated by James City County (JCC), is one of three recycling centers in the county. Toano accepts most items for recycling accept for brushes, and electronics.

There is a total of three convenience centers in JCC. The other two are located the at 117 Tewning Rd. and 1204 Jolly Pond Rd. respectively.

The Tewning Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday thru Saturday and the Jolly Pond center is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.
