STATEWIDE — The Virginia State Parks has announced that it will launch a new online reservation system this Thursday (Jan. 27).
As a result, the Parks’ current online reservation system will be unavailable between today (Jan. 24) and Wednesday (Jan. 26). This includes reservations for campgrounds, cabins, and picnic shelters in all state parks.
Virginia State Parks notes that existing reservations will not be impacted by this and will migrate over to the new system during the above noted transition period. It is also noted that customer loyalty points will be converted and then loaded into the new reservation database.
Online reservations can be made through the Parks’ Reserve America (RA) website or through the free RA Camping app available in the Google Play or Apple App stores. Additionally, residents can make reservations Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. by calling (800) 933-7275.
