POQUOSON — The City of Poquoson Office of Community Recreation has opened up registration for its Spring Youth Soccer Recreation League.
The season is set to run from March 20 thru May 27. Players will play between eight to nine games this season and all practices will be held at South Lawson Park at 1238 Poquoson Avenue.
Players that register will not be notified of their team placement until around March 18.
The deadline to register for Spring Soccer is Feb. 25, 2022, and there is a $15.00 late fee that will apply after Feb. 25.
The youngest players must be at least age 5 by May 31, 2021, and all teams are co-ed. All ages are determined by May 31, 2021, and the players will be grouped the following categories:
- U7: ages 5 and 6
- U9: ages 7 and 8
- U11: ages 9 and 10
- U13: ages 11 and 12
- U16: ages 13, 14, & 15.
The registration fee is $70 for residents and $80 for non-residents.
The spring youth soccer league is also looking for volunteer coaches that are needed to support the league.
