WILLIAMSBURG — The Board of Directors for the Williamsburg Farmers Market (WFM) will host a reception and exhibit to celebrate its twentieth anniversary.
The reception, which scheduled to take place on Jan. 6 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Stryker Center, 412 Boundary St., *is a private event that is invitation-only.
However, the *special exhibit will be open to the public and features photographs of market vendors as well as posters submitted to WFM for its Twentieth Anniversary Poster Contest. The posters will be on display in the Stryker Center’s gallery for the month of January.
The WFM has been a Saturday morning fixture on on Duke of Gloucester (DoG) Street from March to December since 2002. The market traditionally set up in Merchants Square until the COVID-19 pandemic. The addition of outdoor restaurant seating in Merchants Square forced the WFM to move its location to the next block of DoG Street between Henry and Nassau streets.
Wine, soft drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Email therner@williamsburgva.gov to RSVP for this event.
