YORK COUNTY — Dick’s Sporting Goods, 120 Gristmil Plaza in the Marquis Shopping Center, will close in January.
The York County location will close Jan. 2, according to the store manager.
The sporting goods retail chain is known for selling sporting equipment and athletic and outdoor recreation apparel and footwear.
The store is in the same shopping center as Target, Kohl’s, and Best Buy. Nearby JCPenney also closed back in 2015.
The next nearest Dick’s Sporting Goods location for Williamsburg residents is in Patrick Henry Mall, 12300 Jefferson Ave, Newport News.
