YORK COUNTY — After a surge of vehicle break-ins of the last several days, the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office issued a statement on its Facebook page reminding people around the county of the importance of locking their cars and trucks.
“Over the past few days we have had a number of reports of LARCENY FROM VEHICLES come in from people who left their vehicle(s) unlocked,” the post read. “We realize that most of the time this is just an over site. So this is just a friendly reminder to help you save a lot time and hassle by taking a second to simply lock your doors.”
