JAMES CITY COUNTY — On Thursday, Sept. 2, units from the James City County Fire Department (JCCFD) reported to a residential fire in Greensprings Plantation.
At 6:08 p.m., units responded to the fire, located in the 3800 block of Phillip Ludwell in the Greensprings Plantation subdivision. The fire was located in the attic of the two-story home.
JCCFD reports that the fire was brought under control at 6:31 p.m. However, there was significant smoke and fire damage to the home’s attic.
According JCCFD Chief Ryan Ashe stated in a Sept. 2 release that crews remained on scene following the fire to “overhaul the attic contents and prevent further water damage to the home.”
No injuries were reported.
