WILLIAMSBURG — Cyclists, walkers, runners, and skaters – here is an outdoor challenge for you.
The Virginia Capital Trail Foundation is encouraging outdoor enthusiasts to take the :Cap Trail Summer Challenge.”
Participants can do anything from walk, run or bike the Capital Trail, which stretches over 50 miles along Virginia Route 5 to Richmond.
The Virginia Capital Trail Foundation is challenging participants to either conquer all 51.7 miles of the trail or complete an out and back 103.4 miles. They can also finish the additional 51.7 miles on a new trail.
Participants can also do the Birthday Challenge, and run 310.2 miles in honor of the Virginia Capital Trail’s upcoming 6th birthday.
The challenge is now open until September 6.
Finishers will earn a Summer Challenge t-shirt and sunglasses.
