Are you headed to the Neptune Festival next month? Here’s the list of bands that will play

The annual Neptune Festival is next month, and this year’s edition will feature musical acts ranging from the Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket to local and regional performers.

There will be 27 musical performances on three stages at this year’s festival, which runs from Sept. 28 through 30 at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

But music is only part of the fun. The festival will also feature its internationally renowned sand-sculpting contest, as well as a 250-artist art show, a volleyball tournament, an 8K race and a parade.

The musical stages will be at 17th, 24th and 31th streets on the Virginia Beach boardwalk, and performance will run from 6 to 11 p.m. Sept. 28, 1 to 11 p.m. Sept. 29 and 1 to 6 p.m. Sept. 30.
