Do you know this man? Police need your help

NORFOLK — Police here are asking the public for help in identifying and finding a man they say robbed and assaulted an elderly man Tuesday.

Authorities said it happened around 5:45 p.m. in the 1600 block of Amelia Street.

There, police found “a 74-year-old man who stated that an unknown man assaulted him and took several personal items,” authorities said in a news release.

The elderly man suffered what police described as “non-life-threatening injuries.”

Authorities are asking anyone who may recognize the suspect or know of his whereabouts to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 888-LOCK-U-UP.
