The third annual “An Evening for Bacon Street Auction” fundraising gala returns Friday.
The event is hosted by Bacon Street Youth and Family Services at the Two Rivers Country Club. The gala kicks off Friday, Feb. 2 at 5 p.m., according to a press release.
Bacon Street serves youth and families dealing with substance abuse, and operates in Greater Williamsburg, York County, Poquoson, Newport News and Hampton. The organization offers counseling, education and prevention care.
The auction is Bacon Street’s largest fundraising event of the year and proceeds will go toward the local community.
“With the nationwide opioid crisis reaching all-time highs, this year’s event is more important than ever,” said Kim Dellinger, Bacon Street’s executive director. “Bacon Street is committed to being part of the solution addressing the opioid epidemic in our area.”
An Evening for Bacon Street will feature both a live and silent auction, and attendees will be able to bid on jewelry, art, vacations and local experiences.
The event will also offer dinner, live music and cocktails.
“The relationships we build with youths and their families are lifelong. The gala celebrates those in our community who have been making a difference in the field of substance use prevention and treatment,” said Dellinger.
Tickets are available at Bacon Street’s website or by phone at 757-253-0111.
