WILLIAMSBURG — On Friday, Oct. 8, Melaina Mincher, a Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools teacher, was announced as the 2021 Prestige Cabinets’ “Cabinets For A Cause” winner.

As the winner, Mincher will be receiving a free kitchen makeover as part of the program’s goal to give back to community members who provide services for the area.

Last year, the giveaway was geared towards hospital workers. The 2020 winner was Kirstin Reid, a nurse from Riverside Doctor’s Hospital Williamsburg.

The renovation project is estimated to be completed by Christmas.
