JCCPD Investigating Larcenies from Unlocked Vehicles

JAMES CITY COUNTY — The James City County Police Department (JCCPD) is investigating incidents of larcenies from unlocked vehicles throughout the county.

The department reports that in the overnight hours of Sept. 22 and 23, these incidents, along with vehicle tampering, took place in the Steeplechase Apartment Homes, located at 3700 W. Steeplechase Way in Williamsburg, and the Villages at Candle Station housing development in Norge.

Items reported stolen include an Apple watch and cash.

JCCPD is asking that if anyone saw anything suspicious, may have further information or security video footage of the incidents (to include doorbell cameras) that may aid in the investigation to contact Investigator Sten at (757) 603-6044 or email leslie.sten@jamescitycountyva.gov.

Tipsters can also call the Crime Line at 1 (888) LOCK-U-UP or submit tips online through p3tips.com. JCCPD emphasizes that callers to the Crime Line and those who submit through P3Tips.com may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
