The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center, The Williamsburg Winery, Farm Fresh Food & Pharmacy and Reba Arts are releasing the second edition of Sensible White and Sensible Red wines to benefit the Aquarium’s Sensible Seafood Program.

The wines will be offered exclusively at Farm Fresh grocery stores beginning Saturday. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the program, whose mission is to promote seafood that makes sense for a healthy marine environment.

“The Virginia Aquarium is honored to work with Farm Fresh Food & Pharmacy and The Williamsburg Winery in the production of the Sensible wine series,” April Strickland, assistant development officer for the Virginia Aquarium said in a release. “Every bottle of Sensible wine purchased provides funding for the Virginia Aquarium Sensible Seafood program.”

According to a release announcing the partnership, Michael Kimball, assistant vice president of marketing for The Williamsburg Winery said the program is the culmination of the work of many Tidewater locals, all dedicated to raising awareness for sustainable seafood.

“From the design of the labels to the flavors of the wine, this project captures the ethos of Coastal Virginia – coastal cuisine, conservation, community, and creativity – in a bottle,” he said.
