Alliance to Host Post-General Assembly Program

The Greater Williamsburg Chamber and Tourism Alliance is holding a post-General Assembly program at 7:30 a.m. April 5.

The assembly, in the amphitheater at Crowne Plaza Williamsburg, will feature a question-and-answer session with the area’s state legislators including Sens. Tommy Norment (R-3rd) and John Miller (D-1st), and Del. Mike Watson (R-93rd). Del. Brenda Pogge (R-96th) was invited to participate but an answer has not yet been given.

Mark Duncan, chair of the Alliance’s Government Affairs Committee will ask some prepared questions, as well as questions from the audience. Some anticipated topics include transportation and the school operating schedule.

The program will begin by 8 a.m. and conclude by 9 a.m.

  1. I’m still baffled that for the last 4 or 5 of these GA events the Chamber rarely gives more than a week’s notice. You’d think with this kind of group the calendars would be set at least a month ahead.

  2. Hi, Mary! Crowne Plaza Williamsburg will host the session in its amphitheater. The address is 6945 Pocahontas Trail.
