YORK — Virginia State Police are looking for two people after a trooper’s car was hit Tuesday on Interstate 64 in York County.

Around 2:45 a.m., the trooper attempted to stop a stolen 2018 Honda CRV near the Williamsburg/Camp Peary exit on eastbound I-64, said Virginia State Police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya. The driver refused to stop, and the trooper began a pursuit. The CRV hit the trooper’s unmarked Chevrolet Impala and continued on I-64 toward Hampton.

No one was injured in the incident, Anaya said.

The driver and two men later abandoned the CRV in the eastbound lanes of I-64 near Lasalle Avenue in Hampton and ran off, Anaya said.

One passenger from the CRV was captured and arrested on a warrant issued in Hampton for failing to appear in court, Anaya said.

The incident remains under investigation.
