UPDATE 5:35 p.m.:
A crash on Interstate 64 involving a tractor-trailer loaded with 40,000 pounds of soybeans has been cleared, but a six-mile backup remains, according to a tweet from VDOT Hampton Roads.
Virginia State Police were called to investigate a crash on I-64 near Lee Hall around 1:45 p.m.
According to police, the tractor-trailer fully loaded with soybeans ran off the roadway while trying to avoid a merging dump truck.
Multiple wreckers were on scene clearing the soybeans from the roadway.

All eastbound lanes on Interstate 64 are blocked at Lee Hall, according to an email from the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The crash causing the blockage is at mile-marker 247.
Traffic is being detoured at Exit 242/Route 199, according to a tweet from VDOT Hampton Roads.
