James City County Police are investigating a pair of burglaries that took place in the last week.
The first occurred between Dec. 1 and 2, when unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the House of Burton Ministries on Merrimac Trail and stole coins from a vending machine. There was no damage to either the building or the vending machine, said Major Stephen Rubino of the James City County Police.
The second burglary occurred between Dec. 3 and 4 at a building in Toano occupied by Uncle Dave’s Kettle Korn. Once inside, unknown suspect(s) accessed a safe and took an undisclosed amount of money, Rubino said.
