There are lots of holiday-themed events for people of all ages to explore this week in York County. Don’t miss out on the fun!
Senior Center of York to Host a Pair of Events This Week
The Senior Center of York County is hosting two events this week, though you must be 55 or older to take part.
On Tuesday, there will be singing and tree-trimming at 9:30 a.m. The center asks that you register by today for this event. Breakfast – a Hardee’s biscuit – will be served. The tree-trimming is for the center’s tree. The Seaford Elementary School choir will perform at 10:30 a.m.
A holiday luncheon will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Registration closes by today or when space is filled. The luncheon begins with a performance by the center’s Matinee Idlers. The meal will include spaghetti and meatballs, Caesar salad, breadsticks, dessert and a beverage. A fee of $3 will be charged, and the center asks that you bring canned goods to support the York County Church Women United Emergency Food Closet.
The center is looking to populate a panel discussion at an upcoming Culture Day, so they’re asking for World War II veterans to visit the front desk at the center and fill out a brief form.
For more information or to register for one of these events, visit the center or call 898-3807. Reservations are required for every session and are accepted first come, first served. In the event of inclement weather, call the center’s hotline at 890-3516.
