Hey, I’m Shadow! I arrived to Norfolk Animal Care Center after 8 years with my previous family when they could no longer care for me. In my previous home, I lived as the only animal with adult humans. Despite never having lived with another dog before, I have met many dog friends here at NACC and have even become the shelter’s resident dog tester! Now that I was at in-home foster care, my foster parents have reported that I adore their dog and even run and play with her! I’m a vocal guy when I’m excited/anxious, so if you’re looking for an apartment dog, it’s not me. I have met several children since my stay here, and I even lived with some in my foster home. I seem to do best with kids of any ages that understand I’m not a chair to sit on or play toy to push/pull on. All around, I’m a very friendly, outgoing and happy guy who simply wants to be a part of a family again. Sound good to you?
