HAMPTON ROADS — VDOT’s list of full closures of interstates, ramps, bridges and primary roads, and single-lane closures at the bridge-tunnels the week of Jan. 14-20.

Bridges and Tunnels

Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel, I-64:  

• Alternating, mobile, single-lane closures westbound Jan. 17 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel, I-664: 

• Alternating, mobile, single-lane closures northbound Jan. 16 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Alternating, single-lane closures southbound Jan. 16-18 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

James River Bridge, Route 17: 

• Full extended closure of the James River Bridge from 1 a.m. on Jan. 12 through 5 a.m. on Jan. 16. View the full traffic alert
• Brief, intermittent stoppages in both directions:
  • Jan. 16-19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Jan. 16-18 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Alternating, mobile, single-lane closures in both directions Jan. 17-18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

George P. Coleman Memorial Bridge, Route 17: 

• Alternating, mobile, single-lane closures in both directions Jan. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Elizabeth River Tunnels (Downtown/Midtown Tunnels):

• Information from Elizabeth River Tunnels for maintenance schedules and lane closures on the Downtown Tunnel (I-264), Midtown Tunnel (U.S. 58) and MLK Expressway (Route 164).

I-64, Southside Widening, High Rise Bridge Expansion:

I-64, Hampton Roads Express Lanes:

Hampton: 

• Brief, intermittent stoppages on I-64 west between Mallory Street (exit 268) and LaSalle Avenue (exit 265A) Jan. 16-17 from 11:59 p.m. to 4 a.m.
• Long-term, continuous single-lane closure on I-64 in both directions, reducing travel lanes from three to two lanes between Settlers Landing Road/Woodland Road (exit 267) and LaSalle Avenue (exit 265A), with I-64 west traffic shifted to the I-64 east lanes. View the full traffic alert.

Norfolk, Reversible Roadway:

• Full closure in both directions:
  • from 6 p.m. on Jan. 12 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 13
  • Jan. 16-19 from as early as 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.
  • Jan. 17-20 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Jan. 20 from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.
