WILLIAMSBURG — After earning an impressive 45-7 victory at North Carolina A&T on Saturday, the William & Mary football team moved up in both national polls this week.
W&M jumped to No. 20 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll and No. 21 in the AFCA FCS Coaches Top 25 Poll.
With the win against NCAT, W&M improved to 6-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
The Tribe boasts one of the nation’s top offensive attacks and ranks among the country’s top 10 in total offense (448.2), rushing (252.5), third down conversion percentage (.518) and first downs (215).
Defensively, the Tribe has forced at least one turnover in seven straight games and ranks third in the CAA with nine interceptions. Additionally, W&M has been dominant late in games and has allowed just three touchdowns during the fourth quarter this season.
