HAMPTON — The Hampton & Peninsula Health Districts will host a free, drive-thru flu clinic on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Bethel High School.
The clinic takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the school, which is located at 1067 Big Bethel Road in Hampton.
This event is open to everyone, regardless of insurance status, and aims to promote public health and prevent the spread of influenza this season, according to the Hampton & Peninsula Health Districts (HPHD).
Health professionals will be on-site to administer flu vaccines from your vehicle. No ID or insurance is needed for vaccination, according to HPHD. Whether insured or uninsured, all community members are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to protect themselves and others from the flu. Vaccines will be provided at no cost to participants, and additional resources and giveaways will be available at the event.
HPHD notes flu vaccinations are crucial for maintaining community health, especially for vulnerable populations such as the elderly, young children, and individuals with underlying health conditions.
The free event is open to everyone aged six months and older; is first come, first served; and will remain open until supplies are out.
