WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg Regional Library, in partnership with the Peninsula Agency on Aging, announced a Flu and COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at James City County Library on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
The clinic, provided by The Prescription Shoppe, is open to all adults aged 18 and over.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the James City County Library, located at 7770 Croaker Road.
“We are proud to support initiatives that promote health and wellness in our community, particularly for our older adults,” said Melissa Simpson, Adults Services Director of the Peninsula Agency on Aging.
No appointment is necessary, but participants are asked to bring an ID and insurance card.
Licensed healthcare professionals from The Prescription Shoppe will administer the vaccines.
“Vaccines are safe and help prevent serious illness,” said Henry Ranger, Owner/Pharmacist of The Prescription Shoppe. “As we age, our immune systems may gradually weaken, increasing our vulnerability to specific illnesses. That’s why it’s crucial that all of us, especially adults age 65 and older, stay up to date with vaccines.”
