WILLIAMSBURG — After earning an impressive 28-21 victory at Wofford on Saturday, the William & Mary football team jumped to No. 12 in this week’s Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll.
W&M remained No. 13 in the AFCA FCS Coaches Poll.
The Tribe, which was ranked 13th in both of last week’s national polls, piled up 428 yards of total offense and held the Terriers to just seven points during the second half in its recent road win. Additionally, W&M rushed for 243 yards at Wofford, which was highlighted by Bronson Yoder’s 142 yards on the ground with two touchdowns.
W&M boasts one of the country’s top rushing attacks and ranks second in the CAA and 15th nationally with 196.7 rushing yards per game. The Tribe’s defense has been equally impressive and ranks fourth nationally in passing efficiency defense (93.7) and 12th in third down conversion defense (.278).
