RICHMOND — The CAA announced the 2024-25 league schedule on Wednesday.
In August, the league released the opponents for each school. Teams will play an 18-game conference schedule against all 13 league foes. The Tribe will play five CAA opponents both home and away (Drexel, Elon, Hampton, Hofstra, and UNCW), four only at home (Charleston, Monmouth, N.C. A&T, and Northeastern), and four only away (Campbell, Delaware, Stony Brook, and Towson). In total, each team will play nine home games and nine road games.
League games will be played primarily on Thursdays and Saturdays with some Saturday games flexed to Monday for CBS Sports Network. Those selections and the full multimedia schedule will be announced before tip-off of non-conference play. The full CAA regular season tips off on Thursday, Jan. 2, and runs through Saturday, March 1.
W&M opens the league schedule with four of its first six games on the road. The Tribe plays the first week in New York at Hofstra on Thursday, Jan. 2, and at Stony Brook on Saturday, Jan. 4.
The Tribe’s first home weekend comes against Elon on Thursday, Jan. 9, and N.C. A&T on Saturday, Jan. 11.
Three of W&M’s final five games in January are on the road. The Green and Gold heads to Hampton on Jan. 16, UNCW on Jan. 18 and Campbell on Jan. 30. The Tribe also hosts Hampton (Jan. 23) and Monmouth (Jan. 25) during the first moth of 2025.
W&M opens the month of February at home against two-time defending CAA Champion Charleston (Feb. 1). It will be the lone regular season meeting between the two teams and feature of match-up of new CAA head coaches in the Tribe’s Brian Earl and the Cougars’ Chris Mack.
The following weekend, the Tribe hits the road for tilts with Drexel on Thursday, Feb. 6, and at Delaware on Saturday, Feb. 8.
The Tribe plays four of its final six CAA contests at home, including a season-long three-game homestand. W&M welcomes Hofstra to Kaplan Arena on Thursday, Feb. 13, before hosting Drexel on Saturday, Feb. 15. The final game of the stretch comes on Thursday, Feb. 20, against UNCW.
W&M’s final road swing of the regular season comes at Elon on Saturday, Feb. 22, and at Towson on Thursday, Feb. 27.
The Green and Gold closes out the regular season with its only meeting of the year against Northeastern on Saturday, March 1.
All 14 teams will qualify for the 2025 Jersey Mike’s CAA Men’s Basketball Championship to be played March 7-11 at the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C.
W&M opens the season by hosting Dickinson on Monday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m.
