“Whether you’re a die-hard board game enthusiast or just curious about the idea of getting into a role-playing game like Dungeons & Dragons, BurgQuest has got you covered,” said Adam Stackhouse, event producer. “This festival is also designed for players of all ages, and we hope to see families coming out for a fun weekend of gaming.”
The primary sponsor for the weekend is the City of Williamsburg, and the event is being produced by AVAdventure Productions, a Williamsburg production company. In addition to BurgQuest, AVAdventure Productions also worked on The Last Word Comedy Festival and the annual Ampersand International Arts Festival, typically held in the spring.
BurgQuest will take place at the Colonial Williamsburg Woodlands Conference Center. Registration includes access to all three days of the event and costs $45 for limited early registration. Regular admission is $55, or $25 for children 12 and under.
Stackhouse said that a full event schedule should be available in the next few weeks. Updates about the festival, as well as ticket purchases, can be found on the official website.
