Deputies Make Arrest in Felony Breaking and Entering

On June 14 at 11:45 p.m., Deputy Sheriff Phillip Lake responded to a suspicious person call in the 1100 Block of Old Williamsburg Road.

According to the sheriff’s office, the homeowner said she could see two individuals on her property, and it appeared that they had gained entry into the garage. Deputy Sheriff Lake arrived on scene within minutes and quickly located and detained 52-year-old Jonathan Wayne Bolton of Gloucester. Deputies Sean O’Brien and Cody Seals searched for and located the second suspect, 60-year-old Karen Emily Canniff of Virginia Beach, in the attic area of the house. Both were arrested and charged with breaking and entering, possession of burglary tools and possession of Schedule I or II drugs — all felonies

Bolton was also wanted in King and Queen County for burglary, grand larceny and destruction of property, while Canniff was wanted in Newport News on 10 counts of burglary, two larceny offenses, and two charges of obtaining money by false pretense. She was also wanted in King and Queen County for burglary, grand larceny and destruction of property.

Both are currently in the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.

Arrest Made in Stabbing Incident

On June 14 at approximately 4:05 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to the Days Inn at the 100 block of Bypass Road, for a call of a stabbing.

The sheriff’s office said when deputies arrived they found a 39-year-old male with two serious lacerations. And investigation determined that the victim and the suspect, 51-year-old Regina Harvey of Williamsburg, were staying at the hotel, got into a physical altercation, and the victim was injured during the altercation.

Harvey was charged with one count of aggravated malicious wounding and is currently incarcerated in the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.

Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest

On June 11 at approximately 8 p.m., Deputy Sheriff Joshua Epperson initiated a traffic stop in the 4500 Block of George Washington Memorial Highway. The driver of the vehicle did not have a valid Virginia operator’s license, as his license had been revoked for previous driving under the influence convictions, according to the sheriff’s office.

Officials said further investigation found illegal narcotics in the vehicle, and the driver, 37-year-old Nicolas Henry Diesel-Reynolds of Cape Canaveral, Florida, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, two counts of illegal possession of a controlled substance, fourth offense driving under the influence of drugs, driving on a revoked operator’s license — all felonies — and concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia — both misdemeanors

The suspect is currently incarcerated in the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.

Shoplifters Caught

On June 8 at approximately 8:22 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a request from the Williamsburg Police Department to be on the lookout for an automobile involved in two shoplifting incidents in the City of Williamsburg.

The sheriff’s office said within minutes, Deputy Sheriff Nick Levindoski located the vehicle in the parking lot of the Kroger grocery store in the 6500 Block of George Washington Memorial Highway.

Deputy Levindoski began watching the vehicle and observed a male and female matching the description of the suspects from the Williamsburg larcenies exit Kroger and enter the vehicle. Deputy Levindoski stopped the vehicle soon after it left the parking lot and confirmed that these two individuals were the same suspects. Stolen merchandise from the two larcenies in Williamsburg and items stolen from the Kroger grocery store in York County were recovered.

The two suspects, 29-year-old Tatiana Angelica Wolfe of Yorktown and 59-year-old David Quinones of Hampton were both charged with petit larceny for the theft from the Kroger grocery store. Additional charges were filed by the Williamsburg Police Department.
