WILLIAMSBURG — The Virginia Arts Festival and Williamsburg Live! announced a need for volunteers for the upcoming June concert weekend.
The annual concert festival will take place June 21-23 with a lineup that includes The Beach Boys on June 21, Tower of Power on June 22, and Laufey on June 23. All gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with concerts starting at 7 p.m.
“As we grow the festival and as the festival becomes more popular, we have a need for more volunteers. We love producing the event here in Williamsburg and volunteering is a great way to become involved in the community,” Jon Martin, the director of the event, said.
Volunteers are needed for various positions, including greeters, the entry tent, and drink stations. Potential volunteers should be aged 18 and over.
Volunteers will receive a Williamsburg Live! volunteer t-shirt to wear during their shift, a letter of appreciation, and free parking and shuttle to and from the Colonial Williamsburg Visitors Center.
Once a volunteer is done with their shift for the evening, they can enjoy the festival and music.
Volunteers do not have to volunteer all three days of the festival. Interested volunteers are asked to email Sandy Miller at smiller@vafest.org.
Tickets for the concert weekend are still on sale. For more information on the festival, visit vafest.org/williamsburg-live.
