WILLIAMSBURG — That adorable little beagle mix with the ’80s-inspired name is back to showcase local businesses, educate and promote pet health and bring a smile to faces.

Ferris was super excited to hear that Williamsburg Downtown is hosting a series of summer strolling tours starting with its pet and family-friendly “Walk & Wag” from May 13 through May 19.

Downtown Williamsburg is a great place for pet owners to stroll with their dogs. Boasting historic buildings, beautiful gardens, dog-friendly shops and restaurants and so much more.

“Williamsburg Downtown is proud to promote the Summertime stroll series! Join friends, families, and furry pets through Downtown Williamsburg on weekly strolls highlighting fun events,” explained Monique Osterhoudt. “The first stroll is a ‘Walk & Wag’ — a stroll that has literally gone to the dogs in the best possible way. Dogs and owners are encouraged to come out for a nice walk around downtown and take part in fun dog activities held by our local businesses!”

Ferris enjoys meeting new friends at the Williamsburg Farmers Market, hanging out on the grass at the Governor’s Palace and stopping in for treats and fresh water at some of our favorite local shops and restaurants.
Pooch-friendly things include a stroll down DoG Street to greet other visitors and take in the sights, a meal on the Blue Talon Bistro patio with a special pet menu, or stopping by the Hounds Tale BARkery for ‘Yappy Hour’ specials or their profit-sharing Karaoke night, Wednesday, May 15, where all proceeds will benefit Heritage Humane Society.
