University of Mississippi Announces Fall 2023 Chancellor’s Honor Roll

The University of Mississippi announced students named to the Fall 2023 Honor Roll lists, including Chancellor’s Honor Roll.

• Thomas Nichols of Williamsburg, majoring in Sport and Recreation Administration
• Mary Digges of Williamsburg

The Chancellor’s Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00. In order to be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.

The University of Mississippi, affectionately known as Ole Miss, is located in Oxford.

Seton Hall University announces Bracton Abella has qualified for the Fall 2023 Dean’s List

Seton Hall University announced Bracton Abella of Williamsburg has qualified for the Fall 2023 Dean’s List.

After the close of every semester, undergraduate students completing all courses with a GPA of 3.4, with no grades lower than “C”, qualify for the Dean’s List.

Tiana Thomas Named to the Fall 2023 President’s List

Tiana Thomas of Hampton was named to the Fall 2023 President’s List at Georgia State University.

To be eligible for the President’s List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 4.0 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.

Cadets and students named to The Citadel’s fall 2023 dean’s list

The dean’s list is a recognition given to cadets and students who are registered for 12 or more semester hours and whose grade point average is 3.20 or higher, with no grade of I (Incomplete) and no grade below C for work in a semester.

Dean’s, President’s Lists Students Named for UA Fall 2023 Term

A total of 13,950 students enrolled during Fall Semester 2023 at The University of Alabama were named to the dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president’s list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s).

The UA dean’s and president’s lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

More than 7,000 University of Rhode Island students named to Fall 2023 Dean’s List

The University of Rhode Island announced the Fall 2023 Dean’s List. Students named to the Dean’s List represent nearly all of Rhode Island’s cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, and many other states and countries. They include:

• Emily Zuniga of Williamsburg

To be included on the Dean’s List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable earning at least a 3.30 quality point average.

The University of Rhode Island is located in Kingston.

College of Charleston Announces President’s List and Dean’s List for Fall 2013

College of Charleston congratulated more than 3,500 students who were named to the President’s List and the Dean’s List for Fall 2023.

• Josephine Shostak of Williamsburg was named to the President’s List (Highly Distinguished). Shostak is majoring in Enviro Sustainability Studies and Marine Biology.
• Kennedy Saumier of Williamsburg was named to the President’s List (Highly Distinguished). Saumier is majoring in Spanish and International Business.
• Emily Littreal of Williamsburg was named to the President’s List (Highly Distinguished). Littreal is undecided.

To qualify for the President’s List (Highly Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.800 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Local students named to Mississippi State University’s fall 2023 President’s List

More than 4,500 students were named to the fall 2023 President’s List at Mississippi State University. The following local students are included in this honor:

Students on the President’s List at Mississippi State achieved a 3.80 or better GPA, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of coursework with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.

Taylor Briana Mason of Hampton Earns Degree from University of Maryland Global Campus

Taylor Briana Mason of Hampton, earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Maryland Global Campus in fall 2023.

Mason was one of more than 8,358 students worldwide who earned degrees from UMGC in the fall. Graduates came from all 50 states, three U.S. territories, and 24 countries.

University of Maryland Global Campus was founded more than 75 years ago specifically to serve the higher education needs of working adults and military service members.

Andrew Creelman of Yorktown Named to Dean’s List at Frostburg State University

Andrew Creelman of Yorktown has been named to the dean’s list at Frostburg State University, Frostburg, Maryland, for outstanding academic achievement for the fall 2023 semester.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and earn a cumulative semester grade point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.

Situated in the mountains of Allegany County, Frostburg State University is one of the 12 institutions of the University System of Maryland.

Rudrani Ghoshal Named to Siena College President’s List for Fall 2023 Semester

Rudrani Ghoshal was named to the Siena College President’s List for the Fall 2023 Semester. Ghoshal is from Yorktown.

The President’s List requires a 3.9 grade point average or higher.

Siena College is located in Loudonville, New York.

Nazareth University student Anneliese Bush of Toano earns fall 2023 Dean’s List Honors

Nazareth University announced that Anneliese Bush of Toano has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester.

A student’s grade point average must be at least 3.5 or above, and they must complete 12 credit hours of graded work that semester in order to be included on the dean’s list at Nazareth.

Nazareth University is located in Rochester, New York.

Kirsten Flannigan named to Wofford College’s fall 2023 Dean’s List

Kirsten Flannigan has been named to the fall 2023 Dean’s List. Flannigan is from Toano.

To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours of graded courses and attain a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher.

Wofford College, established in 1854, is a four-year, residential liberal arts college located in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Hannah Proctor of Williamsburg named to Fall Dean’s List at Grove City College

Hannah Proctor, a Computer Science major at Grove City College from Williamsburg, has been named to the Dean’s List with High Distinction for the Fall 2023 semester. Hannah is a 2022 graduate of Homeschool and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Proctor (Raquel) from Williamsburg.

Students eligible for the Dean’s List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean’s List with Distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the Dean’s List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.
