WILLIAMSBURG — After excelling on the field, in the classroom and in the community, William & Mary standout offensive lineman Marcus Crowell was selected to the 2023 FCS Athletics Directors Association (ADA) Academic All-Star Team.
The elite group of 52 student-athletes chosen for the honor were selected from an impressive collection of more than 100 exceptional candidates considered from around the nation.
A team captain this season, Crowell was a standout on the Tribe’s offensive line throughout his career and appeared in 37 games with 22 starts.
This fall, he started all 11 games and helped W&M rank 13th nationally in rushing (196.9). Additionally, he ranked 13th in the CAA among all offensive linemen with a minimum of 350 snaps according to PFF and rated as the No. 4 guard in the conference. He graded better than 90 percent in six games and allowed just one sack on 323 pass blocking snaps.
An outstanding student, Crowell earned an undergraduate degree in finance and will earn his MBA this spring. He will begin his professional career working with Goldman Sachs in private high net worth asset and wealth management.
