Three Jolly Coachmen Performance Raises $1,000 for Williamsburg House of Mercy

Three Jolly Coachmen member Greg Davy presents a $1,000 check to Becki Wildenberger, Williamsburg House of Mercy director of programs and community outreach.

WILLIAMSBURG — A sellout performance of The Three Jolly Coachmen’s Coffee House’s “Hootenanny Night” concert series, along with generous additional donations for drinks, resulted in the recent presentation of a $1,000 check to Williamsburg House of Mercy, the group announced.

Becki Wildenberger, the House of Mercy’s director of programs and community outreach, accepted the check from Three Jolly Coachmen member Greg Davy.

The Williamsburg House of Mercy provides quality compassionate human services to all people, especially the most vulnerable, regardless of faith, according to a Three Jolly Coachmen press release. It provides a safe and welcoming environment for area homeless to find respite, receive services, and work toward ending their homelessness, and emergency assistance and supportive services to those struggling to maintain housing and regain stability.

The Three Jolly Coachmen’s Coffee House, now in its second season, features bi-monthly performances by the Three Jolly Coachmen, who sing in tribute to the Kingston Trio, and other performers from the Williamsburg area.

A portion of ticket sales and all drink donations are donated to a local charity. The next concert in the Coffee House series is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 12, when the Three Jolly Coachmen with Peter Budnikas, Gary Allen and Greg Davy, supported by bassist Andy Petkofsky, will present another concert of Kingston Trio tunes.
