The event will feature candy, music by Colonial DJs, equipment displays to create a Halloween atmosphere while allowing community members to engage with first responders and learn more about what they do and how they serve.

James City County Police Chief Jamison will be on hand to meet and greet residents.

“Halloween with Heroes is an exciting way to welcome the community into the world of public safety, face-to-face. We strive to foster trust, positive interactions, and cooperation with our community members, and this is an excellent opportunity to build partnerships. We look forward to seeing everyone!” said Jamison.

Donated funds are used to purchase candy for the event, and any remaining candy is given to patrol offers to share at events throughout the rest of the Halloween season.

Halloween with Heroes will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the James City County Law Enforcement Center on Opportunity Way. Children of all ages are encouraged to come in costume.
