WILLIAMSBURG — More than 200 educators from throughout the Historic Triangle and Tidewater areas registered for Colonial Williamsburg’s second annual Educators Appreciation Night Sept. 27 at the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg.
According to Colonial Williamsburg, the free event included self-guided tours of the Art Museums, opportunities for educators to visit with exhibitors from a wide variety of Colonial Williamsburg departments, a welcome program in the Hennage Auditorium with remarks from President and CEO Cliff Fleet and Vice President for Education Strategy and Civic Engagement Mia Nagawiecki, a reception in the Art Museums café, and a raffle drawing with items and gift certificates from Brick & Vine, Christiana Campbell’s Tavern, the Colonial Williamsburg Spa, The Bob & Marion Wilson Teacher Institute, The Golden Horseshoe Golf Club, the Colonial Williamsburg Bookstore, The Art Museums gift shop and more.
Exhibitors in Wolf Hall included representatives from departments across the foundation to give educators a better understanding of the breadth of programs and resources available to them including the Historic Sites Youth Program, School and Youth Groups, The Bob & Marion Wilson Teacher Institute, Fifes & Drums, Archeology, The John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Library and more.
