YORKTOWN — Beginning Monday, Oct. 9, the upper level of the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace will be closed for maintenance, York County announced Wednesday.
Work will include repairs to the damaged substrate and expansion joints, as well as the installation of parking blocks and speed bumps, it said. The county noted to maximize the lifespan of the repairs, work must be performed during moderate temperatures avoiding extreme heat, cold, wind, and moisture.
During the course of the project, portions of the upper level may reopen for limited parking, it added.
To help direct visitors to free parking, attendants will be stationed at the parking terrace on concert evenings and weekends. The Yorktown Trolley will also continue providing service to carry passengers to and from public parking lots seven days a week, including for the county’s Thursday concert series, it said.
The county also said effective immediately, all Waterfront public parking lots are closed from midnight to 6 a.m., and the fishing pier is open for fishing only during those hours.
