WILLIAMSBURG — Fall is in the air and the Junior Woman’s Club of Williamsburg (JWCW) is hosting its fifth annual Brews that Benefit fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 30 at Alewerks Brewing Company from noon to 4 p.m.
Brews that Benefit is a family-friendly event that will feature a vendor market, face painting and balloons, lawn games, the Don Chido food truck, a 50/50, live music by Phil Poteat and a raffle.
Admission is free and open to the public.
In partnership with Pure Barre Williamsburg, attendees can enjoy Barre + Brews, a beginner-friendly barre class from 11:15 a.m. to noon that includes a brewery tour and one free beer. Tickets for the class are $20 and are available to purchase on the event website.
“We are thankful for our partnerships with Alewerks and Pure Barre Williamsburg, and invite the community to join us for a fun-filled day,” says Ali Blankinship, President of JWCW. “Alewerks has been a long-time supporter of JWCW, and is donating a portion of their profits from the day to our club. We rely heavily on community partners in fulfilling our mission, and are grateful for their generous contributions.”
Every year, JWCW hosts several fundraising events like Brews that Benefit, and proceeds are donated locally in the form of mini-grants to other nonprofits and awarded as scholarships to high school seniors.
