YORKTOWN — The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office and the Tri-Rivers Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the York Tobacco and Vape Shop located in the Patriot’s Square Shopping Center On Friday, Sept. 15.
According to Sheriff Ron Montgomery, numerous illegal products were seized during the execution of the search, including Delta 8 premade Blunts, 26 containers of pre-packaged marijuana, 84 liquid THC packages and quantities of synthetic marijuana
Montgomery said the investigation into the business began a little over a month ago after receiving complaints from concerned citizens and parents that illegal products were being sold from the shop and underage children were purchasing vape products on a regular basis.
“I would like to thank the citizens that provided me with this information. This is an excellent example of what can be accomplished when the community and the Sheriff’s Office work together to solve a problem,” Montgomery said.
Criminal charges are pending against two of the employees of the shop.
