WILLIAMSBURG — The Hampton and Peninsula Health Districts will temporarily close the James City County/Williamsburg Vital Records Office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. It will be open weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning Thursday, July 20.
On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays after that date, the Vital Records Office — but not Environmental Health or WIC — will be closed until further notice. Vital records services will be available at the Peninsula Health Center located at 416 J. Clyde Morris Blvd. in Newport News or the Hampton Health Department located at 3130 Victoria Blvd. in Hampton.
Hampton & Peninsula Health District said it understands this may be an inconvenience and it appreciates the flexibility and patience of the community as they work through these temporary closures which it attributed to staffing shortages.
